it has been 2 months i have been off methadone thanks to all of the messages ive read on health boards it was really encouraging to know i wasnt the only one in this situation the reason im writing is because ive been off methadone 3o mgs for chronic back pain and decided it was consuming me 2 months later i still have severe anxiety depression and just have no self worth or pleasure in anything and my patience is wearing pretty F-ing thin can some one tell me if this is normal ifeel like im in some one elses body
What you are going thru is normal-according to several pals i know that have been on methadone. It takes a long time to feel 'normal' again.Usually 2-3 months before you get your energy back/and the depression aspect can take longer-how long were you on it/30 mgs is not a huge dose-but "done" is notorious for getting deep into your bone/muscle-and has a long detox.
Send a little more info-maybe i can help. There are others that use this strictly for pain-hopefully they will chime in too..
peace..

heather i had been on it for three years it definitly was a long phsical withdrawal took 5 weeks to feel fairly normal but them noticed the skin prickling and depression were still there it doesnt sound that bad compared to the phsical part but waking up every day with your skin feeling like there is slivers of glass in it is driving me crazy also my pain is back and ultram doesnt help and the empty feeling i have is tiresome thank you for replying it helps later no patience
