just some quick info here on an article that i just read about the effects of meth(not methadone.i am assuming you do mean 'meth' here?) on the brain?it actually stated that people who are using meth can end up with very similar brain damage to that of someone who actually suffered a traumatic brain injury,it impacts the brain in soo many ways.i would imagine in that instance,it would be very possible to see and feel alot of ongoing neuro problems.putting industrial strength cleaners and the other crap that goes into making meth, just into your body at all i would think could cause a host of really bad neuro and body system problems.these chemicals were just never intended to be ingested by humans in any way shape or form, you know what i mean?since tics are a neuro problem,or stemming from an actual condition like tourettes syndrome, this would be possible to see in someone who has used meth, espescially on a chronic basis.seeing a neurologist wouldn't hurt him at all.if he is still using, well that may be rather difficult, but if he has managed to kick this, then he does need to get himself evaluated to find out just how much real damage may be there.just try doing a bit of research on the overall effects that meth has on the body.or just look at researching brain damage/meth.
meth just has so many really ugly nasty chemicals in its concoction that it can affect just about every area of a persons body, from the brain, the CNS and body organs like the kidneys and the liver whos job it is to 'try' and clear this toxic crap out of a persons system.i would just say based on what this stuff contains, that anyone who has been using meth and goes off, really does need a full physical and neuro evaluation.it just does that much harm to our bodies.i do hope your friend is okay and has stopped using this stuff.marcia
