Arthritis board

Hi,

Noticed you have written on two of the boards. I have psoriatic arthritis, I have had it for 5 years now. It affects all my joints now, and the worse being my wrists ankle and knees. I have taken all the dmards in the past four years, sulphasalazine, methotrexate, leflunomide etc and prenisolone the steroids. I have injections for steroids every three months and my weight has gained two stone since getting the disease. I cannot do a lot of exercise and I am now registered disabled. I gave up work last year, and really cannot see me getting back to work unless I get on the anti tnf drugs which may well help. I take diclofenac and other painkillers, but I am always in pain. Some flares are worse than others. I had psoriassis from a family upset five years ago and the arthriitis occurred once the skin healed. My finger joints are bending over and when i walk my toes dislocate and bruise. It is a horrible disease, any kind of arthritis is but the inflammatory ones are very bad (psoriatic and rhematoid) as they affect the whole body and organs as well, and some days I feel not too bad, but others I feel very ill and tired. What drugs have you been given for your psoriatic arthritis, and how long have you had it, which joints are the worse?
