High & Low Blood Pressure board

I'm a D1 soccer player and I also have extremely low blood pressure, normally around 68/40. It doesn't affect my play at all, but it really worries the trainers. They monitor me pretty closely, and I had to see a cardiologist to be cleared to play. Really the only time it's an issue is if I get hurt. I get really scared when I'm hurt and I tend to go into shock pretty easily. I also have problems with prescription pain meds such as Ultram or morphine. That's when I start having problems, including passing out. No one really knows why my BP is so low, especially since everyone else in my family tends to run high.

If your BP reading is truly accurate I would be extremely concerned. If the systolic and diastolic readings become really close or the diastolic becomes higher than the systolic it can be a sign of cardiac tamponade.
