Discussions that mention morphine

Back Problems board

Good morning Mary,

I took two percocets and two ambien at 5:00 A.M. this morning, I could only sleep for two hours though.
My tolerence must be up due to the morphine and demerol from the hospital or something.
Hell, the ambien alone is supposed to give me 7-8 hours of sleep. yeah, right ! It's all candy to me !

If I didn't worry about falling, I think the good old Labatt's would do the trick ! (with a few good shots also)
Not to mention, drinking beer would just make me have to get up and pee all the more .......
Hey, if I get desperate, I'll try anything at this point.

I also get 100% pay for the first four weeks from my employer, I have been there four years.
It will be in conjunction with no-fault insurance.
I work for a small phone company that provides business service. No residential though.
I am the bad one who sends out the disconnect letters and shuts off their phones for non-payment.
It is a desk job, but I am up and down all day to retrieve stuff from one of our printers.
I was previously a collection manager for a collection agency for sixteen years.

After my four weeks are up, no fault will pay me 80% of my wages until I can return to work.
I also borrowed some money from my parents, just in case, as a safety precaution.
Especially seeing how I haven't received any checks yet.
It has only been a week so far, but as I mentioned, my paycheck was cut short on Friday, so that mess will be addressed first thing in the morning for sure
It's a good thing i did borrow that money.
I have never borrowed money from my parents before, they are great people.
They didn't want to see me have to take out another loan, so I was very appreciative.
I can also borrow more if needed.
Most of my savings have gone down the toilet this year.

I have AAA credit, but tons of credit card debt.
That will be the first thing I pay off when I get some money from the accident.
I will settle, I don't want to do the whole court thing, althought the attorney wants to take it to trial.
Of couse he would, he makes more money based on how high my settlement goes, and you always get more from a trial.
I am just going to settle to get on with my life.

I'm sorry to hear about your Niece, I hope she stays well for a long time :)

I hope the kids can get the jobs at target, that would be so great if they could move closer to you.
See, you won't even need the lousy boyfriend anyway.
You will be too bust for him.
Hey, just maybe you can hook up with a nice doctor in the hospital, that would be so cool.
You sound like such a great catch, so somebody better will be along ;)

Good luck on the smoking Mary, I have an albuterol inhaler for asthma, so it keeps my lungs pretty clear.
I only have a slight case of asthma, so I only use it on occaision.
My doc said my lungs are in good shape for a smoker.
I will quit someday, I just can't do it now.
I hope you don't have a full blown cold, beause they won't even attempt to do the surgery if you are sick.
I was told an allergy related cold was o.k., but you can get really sick from having surgery while you are already sick.

Keep taking the O.J. Echanacia and zinc.
Do you have a temp ?
They also watch closely for that.
Mine went to 102 in the hospital, but I was told it was from the drugs. My heart rate went to 149 also from the drugs, so they really watched me closely.
Here I am , still ticking, just like a Timex !

Let me know how you are really feeling, you may need to discuss it with your doctor before the surgery.
I hope you stay healthy until then.

We'll chat later.

Take Care,
