Discussions that mention morphine

Rendez: I'll just add a bit more to your last message. My Dad did rally a bit too and took water (seemed to be thirsty) for a day but the fluid apparently doesn't go where it is supposed to and needed to be suctioned out a day or two later. He also required injections to help dry the fluid (from the water) off his chest and throat to ease his breathing. At the same time morphine was started as he seemed to be very uncomfortable and agitated. This was Monday morning, he died on Friday morning. My Dad's doctor also seemed to "know" something was up but he wouldn't come out and say it. Anyway, your SIL will be watching and letting you know how things are progressing which is a blessing. It is a very hard time for everyone involved. I'm thinking of you.
