Discussions that mention morphine

General Health board

I am a 41 yr old female with 2 boys 26 and 16 and one grand daughter,4. In 94 after the birth of my last son I had a hystorectomy leaving one ovary. For the last 13 years I have had nausia vomiting lasting days or weeks at a time for no apparent reason. The smell of things or food would make me gag for no reason. It like having morning sickness for the rest of my life.

At the time it first started, I was going through a custody battle for my youngest son. So I figured it was just the upset of that. But it didn't end there. In 2000 I moved to delaware and started with constant headaches requiring frequent visits to the ER. I was still nausiated and vomiting in the morning but it was not associated with the headaches.

I have had many tests on my gastorintestinal tract with no answers. I had a scope of my stomach and they found nothing. I also had an upper GI which showed a swollen duoadulum but futher tests showed nothing other than a wider opening to my stomach than usual.

I also started seeing a neurologist who dianosed me with migrains. I was put on all the meds to prevent migraines but none helped. I also had neumorous tests on my head, CT scan, MRI withwhich all came back negative and no reason for my headaches. The trips to the ER continued.

In 2002 I was put on Remoron SolTab which seemed to help my nausia for a while. It's not the Remoron itself it's something in the dissolvng tab. It started working the day I started it. But it came back in a couple of years and was diagnosed with anxiety. But none of the meds for it helped.

After 7 years of no relief of my headaches I was referred to pain management but the ER and was put on morphine which made my nausia unbearable for 3 weeks I couldn't get out of bed without throwing up. They changed my pain med and put me on roxicodone which seems to help. I still have nausia and vomiting and headaches but they are bearable right now.

The weird thing is the when I get up in the morning I take a lexapro, and a valium, and hour later I take a half of Roxicodone and I am usually ok for the rest of the day. At night I take Romoron and valium.

I never wake up to vomit but about 10 minutes after I wake up I start to get nausiate and start gagging. Orange juice seems to also help.

i also noticed that my dreams may be associated with my nausia, is this possible. I woke up this morning after a vivid dream and stated gaging.

Below are my systoms as I currently have them:

nausia about 10 minutes after I wake up only a couple of times has it happened other than upon waking
the smell of certain foods make me gag (garlic, spices, italian), these same foods don't bother me all the time only sometimes
I can only drink orange juice or milk in the morning
headaches almost every day sometimes lasting for 5 days
sometimes acid reflux and burning in my throat
roxicodone seems to calm my stomach from the first day I started taking it
it seems when I have headaches I am not nausiated and when I am nausiated I don't have headaches.

I don't know if it's something in my pass that I never went to counseling for that is creeping out in my dreams making me sick. Is the subconsious so strong that it can cause me to dream about it then make me sick upon waking?

Does anyone have any idea what this is or what can be causing it? Is this medical or mental and how do i stop it? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thank you.
