Discussions that mention motrin

Sunday she had x-rays taken. they sent us home and said the x-rays looked fine but she had an ear infection and prescribed bactrim. Tuesday the hospital called and said the x-ray did show a spot of pneumonia on her left lower lobe, so we took her to her doc later that day. He said bactrim is great for ear infections but does nothing for pneumonia. He checked her ears but did not listen to her lungs or her breathing. He gave her a shot of antibiotics and prescribed erythromycin and told us to come back the next day. Her fever was around 101 but she was still playing with toys. Wednesday when we took her in, her fever was 103.7 on Motrin. he checked her lungs and said that she had pneumonia in both lungs and that it was worse in right lung. He gave her another shot and told us to come back the next day. When we got home around 3:30 she fell asleep and would wake up for a few moments crying but then would fall asleep again. She slept the hole day and all through the night. When she woke up this morning her fever was lower (101) but she still didn't want to get of the couch. The only time she got up was to poop. She has diarrhea and didn't want me to see her poop. She stayed up for about an hour and then fell back asleep. When we got to the doc today they weighed her and she has lost 1 pound since Sunday night. Her doc listened to her lungs and said she needed another shot and that her cough still sounded wet. I told him her breath smelt funny. Kind of fruity. He smelt her breath and said nothing. He just stared at her for a long time. He told us to come back the next day. She is still very sleepy and just wants to be held. It is heart breaking.
