Discussions that mention nadolol

High & Low Blood Pressure board

The most pronounced differences among them is the half life. Some of them shoot up and down in a couple hours (like propranolol), others can shoot up in an hour but take a week to be done with (like nadolol.) Most fall between these extremes.

But as a drug class, aside from the length of time they're active, I would say they are more alike than most antihypertensive drug classes.

I think the class is most effective in those whose hypertension has a high anxiety correlation.
