Discussions that mention nizoral

Beauty & Cosmetics board

i used to have sun spots. i was told it's actually a bacteria that causes them. i used a type of dandruff shampoo as prescribed by my doc to take care of it and it worked. i believe it's called Nizoral shampoo. it's recently been made available OTC and its not too expensive

Do you use the Nizoral shampoo instead of soap on your skin? Like your face and legs?

Hello there, dear!

I have been plagued with sunspots, myself, for a very long time. Where can you purchase this "Skin Answer"? I would be most interested in hearing more about it, too, if anyone has some inside info. Thanks, Linda

You can do a search for the Skin Answer. I don't think we can mention sites on this board but I found it for $35.30 at one site. That was the cheapest that I found. There is also a cheaper product that is suppose to be like Skin Answer and it is called Skin Revitalizer Cream. I have used the Skin Revitalizer Cream and it works but takes several weeks to work and since I put a spot bandage on each spot, it took a long time. I'm trying the Nizoral shampoo recommended in this thread now. I will probably end up trying the Skin Answer too on some of the bigger raised spots. Someone told me that an aspirin crushed real fine and made into a paste with Aloe Vera is the same as Skin Answer. Needless to say I am trying that too. It is working about the same as the Skin Revitalizer Cream and is slow. Now I am going to post about C-Herb to remove moles to see if anyone has tried it. Don't know why I have to have so many spots!

I bought the Nizoral shampoo & used it a couple of times. I want to ask you just by shanpooing your hair the sun spots faded or did you put the shampoo on the spots?

I never did get an answer from Oblio so I have been washing my skin with it and it seems like it is helping some. I haven't done it long enough to know for sure. I wish she would let us know for sure how to use it.
