Discussions that mention norco

Pain Management board

Tylenol with Codeine is arguably the weakest pure narcotic one can get. Most common Rx is Tylenol 3. There is also a Tylenol 4. Darvocet is weaker, but I don't consider it in the same class....A technicality.

Next up the ladder would by some form of hydrocodone....Comes in several strengths....Vicoden, Lortab, Lorcet, Norco, & etc.

All of the above permit refills...Up to 5 in a 6 month period. These scripts can also be called in to the pharmacy.

Then, there is Oxycodone, the active ingredient in the med you inquired about. Percocet, Percodan, Tylox, Oxy IR, and others. This is a schedule II drug and does not permit refills and must be a written script.

So, to answer your question, Percocet is considerably stronger.

Hope this helps.
