I am currently using the OrthoEvra patch...been on it for about 4 months. The very first couple of days I tried it, I did have nausea, but that went away and it hasn't come back. I typically didn't have a lot of problems taking pills, but I started having some problems with the progesterone, and so my doctor thought it would be good to try the patch because it is absorbed directly into your bloodstream rather than being metabolized by the liver...I think he might have been right!!

You have to get used to sticking it on yourself so that it won't make huge wrinkles at the top of the patch...I usually use it on the buttock...if the top of the patch has a big wrinkle in it, water will find its way into it and through the patch and this makes it weaker. Now I've got it down to a science, though, so no big problems.

Removal is not that much of a problem. Someone here said it's like removing a band-aid...that's pretty much exactly what it's like. Although sometimes I get a little itchy there afterwards...a little lotion on the area works well.

So far so good with the patch...
good luck to you!
