Hi SweetJade,I was wondering if you were still taking the Spiro or not as it was you who really inspired me into thinking about taking it. :) Are you sure that Ibuprofen won't effect the Spiro cause I read at this one site where they talked about the use of Spiro as an antiandrogen and they said (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil, Rufen, others), ketoprofen (Orudis, Orudis KT, Oruvail), and naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve, Anaprox)and other similar prescription NSAIDs may decrease the effects of spironolactone and may increase the risk of damage to your kidneys.
So, I was kind of leary on taking it as before and during my period my face is a can of Crisco and I need all the Spiro I can get at that time.I usually take the Ibuprofen quite a few days during that time so it would be great to be able to take the Ibuprofen.I get so parenoid about the effects of mixings drugs.About the Colon cleanses,I usually do them every other day cause it just makes me feel better and I know it helps my acne some.
As far as PMS, I get it all ,sharp pains, cramps, headaches, depression.I took some progesterone for it a few months ago .I didn't know whether it was safe or not as I had read progesterone can be turned into testosterome and into androgens. And I was thinking androgens can cause acne. But then I kept reading at these websites that sold progesterone that it could actually help acne besides all the other benefites. So I was confused but thought I'd go a head and try the progesterone.Well, that was a BIG mistake!Although it totally eliminated ALL my PMS and made me feel GREAT ,my body turned every bit of it into testosterone and I had the biggest acne breakout in history ! My face is a complete disaster now.
