Weight Loss board

Hi out there....I'm a long-time reader, but a first-time writer as of today! I'm 36 years old and have been fighting the "battle of the bulge" since I was 14 and introduced to the "world of bulimia" by a friend. Fortunately, I got over that hump when I got married and got some serious counseling. However, it's always in the back of my mind as a sure-fire way to lose weight, and I really don't want to start up those habits again (haven't done the whole binge/purge routine since I was about 24). ANYWAY...part of my weight problem has been due to the fact that I REALLY screwed up my metabolism with those old diet habits and now it takes me to move a mountain to get any results. I've gone to gyms, tried just about every kind of diet and/or miracle pill out there, and FINALLY found my weight-loss miracle 2 years ago through YOGA of all things. I found that it broke the "punishment" aspect that all of my other weightloss attempts had. I felt good about myself and quit worrying/obsessing about my weight and it seemed to just drop off (I lost 20 pounds!!!).
BUT....and I apologize for the length of my first-time entry.....I had a really rough time at work last year and got depressed. Wasn't eating, wasn't sleeping, weepy all of the time, etc. My ob-gyn put me on Paxil which caused all kinds of side effects, so then switched me to Serafem...these are anti-anxiety meds. Well, my weight ballooned up again and now I'm right back to where I started pre-yoga and can't seem to get it off. I'm no longer taking the meds (which has caused my moods to rollercoaster again) and I was hoping that the weight would come back off, but no such luck. I've increased my yoga workouts AND purchased an elliptical trainer (which still feels rather punishing to me...I love my yoga, but I'm not a fan of cardio stuff...I tend to "punish" myself by forcing extralong workouts and stuff). I've tried CITRISTAT (which is grapefruit extract) AND I'm trying ACV...although it's hard to get the drink down without gagging myself. I'm not a big eater...I'm not a snacker...I actually love salads. But the pounds aren't coming off very easily. I think my metabolism is dead.
Okay...here are my questions FINALLY!!! Anybody else out there try CITRISTAT with results??? Are the ACV pills okay if you have probs with getting the liquid down? Along with my metabolism being messed up through the dieting nightmares, I've also developed IBS. Anybody out there with IBS use either of these products and had any bad side effects? Any other suggestions???
Again, sorry about the length of the note!
By the way...I'm 5'5", 161lbs. 2 years ago when I lost that weight, I was about 138 lbs. and felt GREAT!
