Hello Everyone

i'm 24 yrs old and i have anxiety/panic disorder. I was put on paxil which i couldn't take due to side effects, i was then put on lexapro which i also couldn't take the side effects, so right now i have no meds for this and for the past 2 days i just feel so anxious and my nerves are about shot... All day long i sit here and " what if " Myself to the point i make myself ill. I also think that everything is wrong with me and i'm just stressed out... I've tried to relax myself with many diffrent things and nothing is working. I just don't know what else to do............ anyone have any suggestions?

See if you can find a Doctor that will give you a light dosage of a benzo, such as xanax or Klonopin to ease the side effects of going onto an srri. If you panic attacks are severe enough, then a benzo like Klonopin I would suggest first is probably the only medication that you need or will work. Doctors will always try to give you and srri, like paxil before giving you a benzo on a continuous dosage, but you must persist that nothing else works if that ends up being the case. You need to get on a medication and the side effects are nothing compared to what the condition can become. If you are not satisfied with the Doctor you have see another. If you do not have the money to do this, see if there is a Behaviour Health Services in your city or county that can help you. Try to stay calm and seek out the help you need. Remember, you will not be physically harmed or go crazy from panic attacks. You will make it though this, but I would be lying to you if I did not tell you it will take some time to get a handle on it but the attacks and constant symptoms are much worse.
