Panic Disorders board

hello , i havnt posted on here since the summer when i finally went to my doctor about anxiety/panic attacks. i was told to take paxil cr. well my life is now free of anxiety pretty much. i havnt had a panic attack since may of 2003. i no longer get scared or anxious at things, like driving to unfamilar places, ect. i started at my new college and its great. i feel like now without the anxiety i can accomplish anything and can do anything. its a great feeling to know that anxiety is something that can be controlled. i have found though that from the paxil i get tired so often. i can sleep for hours sometimes. has any other paxil user found that? i've been on it now since may.
Chrissy81,

I'm very happy that you're feeling so much better.
As for the Paxil question, I really can't answer that, I just wanted to let you know how happy I am for you.
Hi chrissy, hope you are learning CBT, panic coping skills and relaxation, suggest you stay on the paxil for about 12 months
for tiredness, take it before bed and perhaps ask doc about reducing the dose

Dear chrissy81,
Right on! good news
Maybe you can help out Shadysgal who posted "Hi" below. I am assuming the 81 is related to age, and you are going to college. She is looking for help from her age group. Please share your knowledge.
If being tired is the only side effect you are getting then you are a lucky person to be. This will go away with time. Congradulations again.

Sincerely

Sickman :)

Hi Chirssy,
That's great! It's always good to hear success stories. It gives us all hope.:)
A friend of mine who takes paxil said she felt very tired the first few months she was on this med. It's been about 8 months and she no longer has this problem.
