Discussions that mention paxil

Depression board

so I have my first med review tomorrow and I really do not know what to ask or say. I attempted to sign up for counselling and there is at least a three month waiting period. I don't know how the meds are working since he increased it a month ago. I know the zoplicone does not work anywhere near what it use too. The paxil there is no diffrence at all since the increase, the zanax seems to help put it does not work long enough to get through the day, bad day, without going above the prescribed amount. I am Canadian so I do not know what the equivalent is but my sickness benifits through EI runs out in a month and do not know what I will do next financially. Could go back to work but need a medical clearance which I am pretty sure I will never get anytime soon. Sorry for going on but what should I expect tomorrow.

take care
Hi:So I went to my appointment and told the psych what was going on and he increased my meds....paxil to 40mg and added zyprexa/zydis to the mix along with the zanax and zoplicone I am already taking. He asked repeatedly if I wanted to be hospitalized repeatedly which I replied no....can't handle the thought of being stuck somewhere..so thats my update, oh I am suppose to apply for short term disability but did not say where or how. Thanks for all of the replies and support.

take care
Trg, What did they say about your scratching / cutting? Any new suggestions how to resist the urge? Or are the new meds supposed to help with that? Wasn't it paxil that seemed to start your self-injury tendencies?

Good luck and thanks for the update.
warm hugs,
Angel.

P.S. With all these z's, may be you'll get more sleep! :)

Hi trg247
The Zyprexa should help with the cutting and the paranoia. I am not an expert but that makes sense to me. I hope this mix helps. I know it is very frustrating to get the right combination.

Please get help if you need it. I don't want you to hurt yourself. Good luck with the disability. Take care of yourself.

Best wishes and hugs,
Sam
