Anxiety board

You could ask him for Paxil. It is very good for anxiety, but it takes a long time to become effective--could take up to 2 months. Many doctors co-prescribe Xanax with it to take the edge off, because on Paxil, the anxiety can get WORSE before it gets better. But, it's done wonders for ME... I've been on it for 2 1/2 months now. Just a suggestion...

sorry to hear about your situation. I myself take paxil .. but i am going off of it. I am not a doctor of any sort but my advice to you would be to try taking supplements/vitamins/and or herbs to start w/ rather than a perscription like paxil. If nothing else works.. than i would go with the paxil. St. johns wort works for some. Also valerian root. Stay away from kava kava. Some vitamins are the B vitamins, magnesium.... Try l-tyrosine.. its working wonders for me... please get back to me if you want anymore advice, or if you have questions.. But your decisions are up to you.. best of luck.. and hang in there..

years ago I was taking paxil for depression and it did help me alot then but i gained seventy pounds while on it which made me more depressed. I weaned myself off of it years ago, and all this just happened two days ago with this out of the blue anxiety attack, Once my insurance kicks in next month I will probably go back to a phychiatrist. I am just paranoid all the time now about what if it was a mild heart attack etc. Thanks for the imput
