Back Problems board

Sam:

You are in the right place for lots of good information.

I am a little over 2 months post op and still experience some weird jumpiness in my left leg. My nerve was impinged for almost a year and I have been told by by surgeon it may take up to a year to know how well the nerve will recover.

I have experienced cramping in my calf big time. I currently take an anti-inflamatory called bextra. This seems to help alot. Also, iceing the back seems to help as well. Put a towel or something against your hubby though.

After having a doppler test to make sure I didn't have a blood clot in my leg causing the cramps, I started taking calcium and potassium supplements as well. (I have a history of blood clots). This was actually at the suggestion of the technician that gave me the doppler test. This seems to help as well.

Hope your hubby has pain-free days ahead!!

Dee

Good luck
