The best choices of fruit during weight loss are the low-glycemic fruits. These include 1 small apple, 1/2 grapefruit, a small orange, peach, pear, plums, and/or 1 cup of any berries, or a small serving (6) of strawberries. While bananas are a great source of potassium, they are high on the glycemic list. You could probably get by with a small banana a few times a week. Dried fruits are highest in concentrated sugars and should be avoided if you want to lose weight.

For a real healthy apple snack, buy some organic flaxseeds, toast them in a low 200 degree oven for 20 minutes. Grind in a small coffee grinder and store in refrigerator. Mix a few tbsp with cinnamon and steviaplus, and dip apple slices in and eat. :)

An excellant choice of a berry is the cranberry. Fresh cranberry juice, diluted to your preference, and sweetened with stevia, is great for flushing toxins and getting rid of cellulite. You can also use pure cranberry juice/concentrate from your local health food store. Be sure it's pure and not sweetened with any sweeteners/other fruit juices. I am on the Fat Flush Plan (Ann Louise Gittleman) and I have been drinking 8oz of cranberry juice every day for 2 years now. I stock up on fresh cranberries during season, freeze them and make my own juice during the year.

I believe all fruits are good for you but if weight loss is your goal you might have to eliminate or limit some choices for awhile.
