Back Problems board

I used to have trouble sleeping, and am an Ambien to help. After a few months, that starts losing its effectiveness, but something I have been taking the last week has made a HUGE difference in not only my ability to fall asleep and stay asleep, but my back pain and muscle spasms are greatly improved.

It is called Natural Calm plus Calcium and my pharmacist recommended it to me. It is calcium, magnesium and potassium. You boil 4 oz of water, put in 1 tsp, (it is an effervescent) and then you can add more hot water if you like hot drinks, or add juice to cool it down. Taking this one hour before bedtime has helped me immensely and my entire family is now taking it. Pharmacist said it calms both muscle and neurological functions. Gillham is the last name of the guy, I think. It also helps with regular bm's, as magnesium is the muscle relaxer. If you take too much magnesium, you will know it, with frequent trips to the bathroom.

I am already on Skelaxin 4 times a day and am trying to get down to 3 a day, but just wasn't able to do it with all the spasms. (I am 5 weeks post 360 PLIF). I would guess that most people would get this product at the health food store, but I'm not sure. Our pharmacist sells both traditional pharmaceuticals and health products.
