Discussions that mention prozac

I have the same thing... I've had it for years... I feel for you. I've yet to find a doctor that has any idea what to do about it. It's not fungil, creams are useless. Watch out for heavy doses of hydrocortisone for a long period of time. It thins out your skin and makes things worse. I can testify... The only thing that seemed to work, and this may sound rediculous - was prozac. It broke the cycle, and allowed me into sort of a maintenance mode. However I still have flare-ups from time to time. I also experience a great deal of perspiration this occurs. It is a very depressing condition. Which is probably why the prozac helps. While in "maintenance" mode as I call it, I still have to take care of that area. What I found that works sort of well is plain old mineral oil. I put it on in the morning after I shower. The downside is it ruins your clothes...
