Discussions that mention prozac

Menopause board

I read her book and it was great. Wanted to know if anyone tried this fat flush and the success stories. She recommends it for people who are perimenopause, that 10 year transition to change before menopause, the roughest of all cycles. I take Prozac, just wondering if it would also have any conflicts with this med.

Thanks Andrea

No personal experience, but there was a woman on this board (Charli?) who posted under the name of csoar (and some number following it, can't recall) who was a real believer in this and had proven success. Her signature always included the line "fat flush plan forever" and a statement of her old weight and new weight, and that she was "veddy veddy perky." Maybe you could search for her old posts, haven't seen her on here in a long while, I assume she's still doing great.

Yes, I tried the diet plan and it works. I lost about 7 pounds in the first 2 weeks but I think I was eating too many carbs or something. My stomach was shrinking and everything. I also felt better overall. I am weak though. If I get off a diet for a couple of days it's hard for me to go back on it and stick with it again. I am thinking of trying it again in the near future and if I have the same results, I want to stay on it for a long while.

Is it sort of like the Atkins? And do you lose weight quickly? What if you are on Prozac, will it still work?
It is different from Atkins in that you are allowed some fresh fruits. Everything that she has you on is very healthy and safe. You probably want to ask your doctor about the prozac just to make you feel safer about it all but I had been on zoloft at one time and my doctor made me feel comfortable about telling me that I could take other nutrients and vitamins, etc. But, talk to your doctor. Also, after only 2 weeks, you get to start eating a healthy carb per day such as brown rice and I can't remember what else at the moment. I think you'd be very happy with the results if you can stick with the plan. It's not that bad. Good luck.
