I can't believe I'm a asking this! I have been on Celexa for a couple of months now and have not been able to reach an orgasm in that time . Well last night my son was sleeping out so I thought my husband and I could have a nice evening alone. Well same thing happened, a big fat zero. My husband tells me "don't worry about it", well I told him I'm not worried about it I'm just sick of this exercise in futility. Well he fell asleep, happy as a clam and snoring to beat the band. I felt like smothering him with the damn pillow. I then stomped around the house until my little fit passed. :round: Can anyone tell me if this is normal, will it pass or do I just accept it and join a convent :round: just kidding. Well any advice will be appreciated................Leah

Same thing happened to me. Celexa killed my ability to orgasm. Elival,Lexapro and Prozac did the same thing. I stopped taking the stuff. I've tried most anti depessants. Paxil and Wellbruitn I've been able to orgasm with.

UGH...sucks, doesn't it? When I was on Prozac, I could never orgasm. They say most side effects dissapate after a couple of months, so unfortunately, things may remain status quo.

If the Celexa is working well for you, they may be able to add something. If not, maybe a complete change would be good. If Wellburtin alone would work for you, that would probably fix your problem...it is known for the least sexual side effects.

I have been on Lexapro for 2 months now. Initially, I thought I couldn't orgasm at all, but it turns out it just takes longer. Other than that, I am happy with the way it is working. Since my husband doesn't seem to mind I think I am going to stick with it.

Good luck...that can be soooo frustrating!
