Depression board

thanks for responding, yes I suffer from depression I'm on prozac 30mg per day right now last night I had to take some xanax, when I came home I read a letter I received and and it wasn't very good news, the mortgage company says that my request for assistance cannot be fulfilled at this time, however, I did write them a letter regarding my hardship, marital problems, and so forth.I know I'll get over all this I just have to give it some time..I just wish time would pass already. I'm 43yrs old you'd think I learn by now how to manage my money..I tell myself it's another lesson learned. my daughter and her husband moved in with me to see if they could help but the mortgage company still said no..my 16yr old love of video games got him in tournament he has to play his "HALO" X-BOX live..he tells me he wants to make alot of money so he can help me and he doesn't want to see me so stressed out and worried all the time, I have a 1 1/2 yr old grandson from my older daughter that he truly is the one to put a real smile in my heart..I don't know how to tell everone well, my kids about the letter I received...monday morning I'm going to try again..thank you so much for responding..I guess I just need some adult people to talk to, I have been very depressed lately and stressed out my shoulder pain and neck pain is unbearable somtimes.....thank you......letty
Hi Letty,

I'm glad you found this site, too. I have gotten a lot of help here. Depression is a monster to deal with. I have had it since I was 19, also anxiety and panic attacks. I also take xanax. 1 mg four times a day. I'm on two antidepressants. Amiltriptyline (200mg at bedtime) and Lexapro was just started about a month ago. So far it has helped. Maybe you need your prozac increased or another one that works better. You have a heavy burden and it's taking its toll on you. Mortage companies can be tough. They don't see us as humans, only as money. Finacial problems can drag a person down. I'm sorry you have to go through this right now.
It seems like you have family support and that means a lot. I have two daughters that are grown and have families now. I also have seven grandkids and they are precious. (to others they are probably monsters. lol) Your 16 yr old is a wonderful gift. He cares so much about you and he wants to help. I know you love your little grandson. I don't have any that young anymore, but I remember how good they could make me feel.
I think we get so over whelmed sometimes that we can't see an end to everything we are going through. As for handling money, I am the world's worse when it comes to that. lol
Please keep in touch and take care, my friend.......Hugs......Connie
Hi letty, I'm glad you found us here. Wow, you have a lot of people you may be taking care of, and who are maybe there for you. I have a 17 year old who would totally understand the Halo thing--he played Dark Ages of Chamelot for a couple of years.

I'm sorry your financial situation is difficult right now--what a big dark cloud of stress to be under. I see too that your Prozac is at a fairly low dose and suggest gently that you talk to your doctor about all your current stress--Prozac is good for anxiety as well as depression. It could be that an increase could help you deal with at least some of what is going on, from a mind reame somewhere other than "overwhelm". I know I can't think straight when I get overwhelmed either, and worrying about transportation and housing would be very overwhelming.

Oh, plus, with your daughter and her dh and baby moving in with you, as good as that may be, it's still a change and more people in the house....that can be stressful, no matter how welcomed. (You're doing fine with the posting thing)

take care
