:p Salty: I have been on Lexapro for almost 6 weeks...started with 10mg, then 20mg and Doctor increased it to 30mg when I told her it did not seem to work...First I took it in the morning..wrong move...switched to night before bed and was no longer sleepy all day. I am feeling better, more like myself and have not had side effects. Don't believe all the tales...everyone reacts differently. The correct thing to do is to find the AD that works for you; you may have to try several. Also, give it time.....you should see some improvement as time goes by..sometimes it takes months. Lexapro is a good drug, at least for me. I have tried Effexor....too nervous and increased blood pressure...Zoloft same thing. Prozac is good but tends to numb my emotions.

Take care and keep trying...eventually you will feel better. Jules

You sound exactly like the reaction I had to Lexapro. Sometimes I think there are just some people wired in a way that the meds will help, or not help, them the same way.

If my trial of Zoloft doesn't do the job, maybe I'll try to start back on Lexapro but take it at night. I was a zombie on it for weeks 3-4.
