Discussions that mention pyridium

Urology board

first of all do ALL stones (even real small ones) show up on a CT scan (my son's CT was clear)

second, doesn't this sound like a stone -

pain moving DOWN the ureter about an inch and a half a day?

If it is moving, does that mean it will pass on its own?

What causes stones anyway?

Am giving pyridium, advil, and macrodantin to ease him.

Thanks!

Sounds like you may have a stone, not sure though. The stone will pass if it is not to big to pass. When the stone is in the Ureter, you will have PAIN!!! Certain foods cause stones, pop and chocolate are big culprits! Do you drink alot of water? Lack of water can cause them to form too.
