Back Problems board

Hi Luvbunny:

Sorry to hear your story...pain can make things so much more difficult and confusing. If you are not sure what to do then get several opinions from different orthopedists or possibly a neurosurgeon. Then you can weigh all your options having received information from various sources and make a decision.

I have had cages put in and know of others who have also. They were to reallign my spine due to it leaning too far forward from an original fracture. I have titanium cages and have not heard much about other types. I did read on another board about several people who had unsuccessful surgery with BAK cages and had to have revision surgery to correct problems. Keep posting and you might get some more info...hope you get relief soon...Jo H.
