Quote from smpm2:I don't know what is going on but for the past couple of weeks I have been very forgetful and confused at times. Examples of this would be reaching for the wrong drawer when looking for a fork, not being able to come up with words to express certain thoughts, reaching for the light panel in the wrong place, forgetting what I am doing for a split second, forgetting what things are called or how they are spelled, etc. This is very unusual for me as I am very detail oriented. I am turning 27 in a couple of days so I know my age shouldn't be an issue. I do have stress and anxiety issues, and most recently just came out of a very stressful and anxious month (probably one of the worst ever). I was taking clonezapam prescribed by my doctor and it worked great, but the side effects were bad. I haven't taken that drub in about a week after I was on it for a week. I have noticed that my nerves lately have been kind of acting up and I will tend to have little nerve spasms every now and then sometimes slight tingling in the hands and feet (not together). I don't really have any other symptoms that seem to be alarming but this is enough to have me really worried  . Has anyone else had experience with this sort of thing or know what could possibly be the cause of this?
HOPE YOU ARE DOING BETTER.THIS PAST MARCH I WAS TAKEN TO THE ER EXPERIANCING SIEZURE LIKE SPELLS( NON EPI).THE MEDS I WAS ON WAS REQUIP, CLONAZAPAM (FOR RESTLESS LEG.) REQUIP ALSO TREATS PARKINSONS.BETWEEN DEC & MARCH MY MEDS INCREASED TO EASE THE RLS.
MY MEMORY, CONCENTRATION, ALERTNESS, AND DAYTIME FATIUGE BECAME A ISSUE. MY NEURO DOC TOLD ME TO TAKE CLONAZAPAM REGULARLY OTHER THAN AS NEEDED. A WEEK PRIOR TO MY SPELL, I WILL ADMIT I WAS STRESSED.THE DAY OF THE SPELL, I WAS COMING IN FROM DOING YARD WORK.FELLING VERY THIRSTY, I WENT TO 7-11. ON THE WAY I STARTED GETTING A TINGLY FEELING AROUND MY MOUTH AND MY NOSE FELT STUFFY.
WHEN I ARRIVED BACK HOME I SAT DOWN ON THE SOFA. THIS IS WERE IT REALLY GOT BAD.I SLOWLY BEGAN HAVING MUSCLE WEAKNESS, SLURRED SPEECH TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SPEAK AT ALL. WHEN THE AMBULANCE ARRIVED THEY SAID MY ARMS AND LEGS WERE POSTURING. THE ER GAVE ME LEXAPRO AND BASICLY SENT ME HOME. THE SPELLS WENT ON. STILL TAKING THE PREVIOUS MEDS AS WELL. TO KIND OF WRAP THIS UP, ALL MY MRI,CT, LABS CAME OUT OK. WELL I AM ANEMIC. AT MY 3RD OPINION I ASK TO BE TAKEN OFF OF CLONAZAPAM. ALL DOC FELT THIS WAS NOT DUE TO THE MEDS. I DONT AGREE. IT MAY NOT BE 100% THE CAUSE BUT I FEEL IT DID CONTRIBUTE. AFTER I STOPPED TAKING CLONAZAPAM AND CHANGED SOME OF MY OTHER MEDS MY SPELLS STOPPED. ONE NIGHT I WAS HAVING A BAD NIGHT W/RLS. I TOOK ONE DOSE OFF CLONAZAPAM. BOY THE NEXT DAY I WAS HAVING WEIRD FEELING AGAIN. A SPACEY FEELING. I WON'T DO THAT AGAIN.
BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR MEDS. YOU KNOW YOUR BODY BETTER THAN ANYONE. IF YOU FEEL CLONAZAPAM IS PART OF YOUR PROBLEM MAKE YOUR DOC LISTEN.ONE MORE THING, I HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN CARE OF ALL MY FAMILIES PAPER WORK, FORMS,LETTERS, LEGAL DOCS ETC. DURING THIS TIME, WHEN I WOULD APPLY MYSELF TO COMPLETE FORMS, I WOULD START TO ZONE OUT. STAREING, LIMP MUSCLES, THEN A SLEEP LIKE STAGE. HEARING AND SOMETIMES CONFUSED HEARING. JUST COULD NOT MAKE SINCE OF THE WORDS. THE DOCS SAY I WAS DEPRESSED W/ANXIETY AND STRESS. STILL I DON'T FULLY AGREE. SORRY TO HAVE WENT ON SO LONG. HOPE THIS HELPS. KEEP IN TOUCH!!!
