Hi Kirsten07,
It's tough being 18 and going through symptoms such as yours. As everyone else has said, the best thing for you to do is to go see your doctor, even better, maybe a neurologist? When I was first diagnosed at 28, I went to my GP and he then sent me to a neurologist. Do you have insurance? That's probably something else to consider, too, during this long haul in finding your answers, because it can get to be expensive. :dizzy: As far as MS's "life span," there are different diagnoses; I have Relapsing/Remitting MS which means I can have an attack, be fine with some manageable side effects for a few years, and then have it pop back up again.

To quote you, "My legs and my whole body feels so restless like i HAVE to move my muslces when i am still or i feel like i'm gonna jump out of my skin if i dont." I have Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), and as far as I know, it's not linked to MS. I've suffered from this since about your age, if not earlier, and had no clue it even existed. As I grew older, it came and went, but within the last few years, it has been worse. Sitting in movie theaters, sitting at home trying to relax, my legs just feel like they have to MOVE! So, I've been through several meds and my neurologist has finally found the right combo for me. If you've seen ads about Requip, it's for RLS, but that's not what I take--it made me sick. I also suffer from Periodic Leg Movement Disorder, but that's a whole different story... :p When I went to search about RLS on the Web, I found an organization called We Move, so it may be something you might want to look into.

I hope this helps, and again, hope you seek medical advice.
Take care!
PS--I go in for Carpal Tunnel Surgery this Tuesday. I feel like I'm falling apart at the age of 34! :dizzy:
