Allergies board

[QUOTE=npkallergy;3020479]I too get severe dizziness, heavy head and fatigue...when I take a pill I feel a lot more active and better. I have been trying to find out if this is normal. Glad to see that I am not insane thinking this is an allergic reaction. Have you been taking pills to take care of this issue?

I only take Singulair or claritin as needed. I probably suffer more than I should seeing though I am allergic to EVERYTHING out of doors! But, I don't like to take meds as they have more adverse reactions than I care to know. So, my theory is to suffer through and know what the problem is or take meds and have a reaction to where Dr's aren't sure what it is ya know what I mean?:dizzy:

i feel the same way you do about meds. the meds helped me somewhat back then, but my allergies were atrocious back then, and forgetting to take my meds were lethal to me back then. it often meant staying home from school or work because the allergy attacks were atrocious. even though the meds helped somewhat back then, i didn't like the way my body felt, the side effects, and having to take eye drops, nose sprays, pills, and inhalers on a daily basis.

i am going to check out a naturopath, as i am a bit scared of the traditional allergist, as i pretty much know what i'm in for: the daily pills, sprays, etc. you might want to check out alternative therapies for allergies, although it does cost, but some people spend more money on their car then health, so who knows. you might want to look into LDA shots like what sannah said, definitely look into your food allergies, candida, and yeasts; get some recipe books. i don't know how bad your allergies are. i am just beginning to start a treatment of alternative therapy, so i'll see how it goes.

i know for a fact, i could curb my allergies tremendously by doing the candida diet, avoiding pollen, and daily exercise, or i could take a daily slew of meds. if i had no alternative choice to cure my allergies, i could see taking meds for a short period of time, until i look into something else.

but i don't think you should have to suffer and be sick day in and day out, it really sucks. good luck.
