Hi Everyone,

I started synthroid about six days ago. I had more energy than I've had in 5 years on day three. I am now on day six and I felt tired again today.

Is it normal to have good days and bad while your body is adjusting to the medication?

I also have been on Synthroid for 6 months and have good days and bad my dosage has just been changed so maybe that will give me more good days. Go figure this disease
I felt the exact same way you did when I started the Synthroid. I have been taking meds for 3mo now and now my tsh level is down to a 2.59 from an 8.5. I am feeling so much better now. I also stopped eating foods that contain soy products. It made a big difference for me.-Roni
I've been on synthroid for 5 years. I've never been able to keep it regulated. I get bloodwork done every six weeks to keep it leveled. If you are a female and you get pregnant, make sure that you talk to your doctor about getting bloodwork done reguarly.

I found out about my thyroid problem after I mis-carried. Make sure you keep track of it.

Yes.. I still have good days and bad days.
Full Time Mom, With never being able to keep your Synthroid regulated(that was me for 6 years), you are probably not converting the Synthroid to T3. You would probably do soooo much better on Armour thyroid. Have you tried it? IWL

I have't tried armour. I have finally just conviced a dr. to treat me for hypo. I am only on 0.025 synthroid for now. within the first week of taking it, I had three days of feeling pretty good. I felt awake and alive. But now I am tired again.

He does appear to be easy to talk to, so we'll see how it goes after he has increased my dosage.

Thanks for your replies.
