A year and a half ago, I was 180 lbs also. And I have thyroid disease. Most women feel best when their TSH levels are between 1-2 and when their free T3 and free T4 are mid-upper range. Also, the majority of women feel best and can lose weight a little easier..with Armour
thyroid. My doctor had told me that my thyroid was fine, but after doing research, I found out that it wasn't...so I asked to be put on Armour
. After that, I cut out flour and very little sugar, plus I exercised 30 minutes of sweating 5x/wk. I promise, after a couple of months, the weight started dropping off like crazy. You should try the South Beach diet...it's what my doctor had recommended (a low glycemic index diet) and both my husband and I are on it just to drop about 10 lbs.
To make a long story short...I went from a size 15 to a 6 and I feel so good about myself. I had increased my carbs and pants were getting snug, so that is when I started SBD...and it is so easy to follow.....DON'T GET DISCOURAGED, YOU CAN DO IT IF I DID!!! We will be here for you!
