I am sorry if this is a repeat question. I recently increased my Synthroid dose from .05 to .75. Any estimates on when I may feel some improvement? I am sooooooooooooooo exhausted.

Thanks for your replies.

Some people feel an immediate effect, adn some don't feel anything for weeks. There is no way to predict how each individual will respond. Since the changes are often slow and subtle, I recommend keeping a symptom journal. At least once a week, write down what your symptoms are and then don't look at it again until at least a month later. You'll notice the small changes better that way, and realize that you areally are getting better over time. Plus having all your symptoms written down like that gives you something to discuss with yoru doctor on the next visit. For example: "OK, doc, over the last several weeks, symptom x has slowly improved, but symptoms y and z are still there full force..." and you'll have written documentation rather than having to try to remember everything for your brief visit with the person who dispenses the prescriptions for life-giving hormones that we all need.
