Discussions that mention synthroid

Thyroid Disorders board

Two Questions for anyone:

1. Almost from the beginning of my thyroid problems (Graves-RAI-New to Synthroid) I have noticed that I feel better towards the evening. Anyone know why?

2. Fatigue: Anyone have fatigue that feels like you have been crying all day? Is this typical thyroid fatigue or something else?
You would think we would feel worse, wouldn't you! Perhaps those of us who are feeling better in the PM are not on Armour? Actually I am on synthroid....hmmm. Anyone else?
I am MOST DEFINITELY a night owl! I drag in the mornings and could sleep until afternoon, but come 8-9 pm-- watch out! I can easily stay up until the wee hours of the morning and I definitely feel better (i.e., have more energy to get things done, get somewhat of a break from my "foggy" head). I am on 100 mcg Synthroid and a tiny bit of Cytomel. However, I have been like this for as long as I can remember (even before my thyroid disease developed).

Interesting observation... I'm sure there's so much more to this thyroid disease than we will ever know.
I am going to try Armour. Wonder if anyone else who is on T4 gets "up" in the evening? Kmac10 you are on a bit of cytomel, I wonder if more would help or a switch. How about you armour guys? how do you feel towards the pm? I was NEVER like this before my Graves-RAI-Synthroid problems! Vitamin deficiencies? What else? I do know that I am Not deficient in copper.
Hi Everyone! I take 137mcg of synthroid and 5 mcg of Cytomel as soon as I get up and about 2 pm another 5 mcg of Cytomel. I have found since I started the Cytomel (about 7 weeks ago) once I get out of bed, I feel good until about 11:30 or 12 and then I drag until about 4 or so. I can tell you I get much more done in the evenings and I could stay up all night but I force myself to go to bed because I have to go to work and get the kids to school.
Interesting. Seems like from a few posts here cytomel may not play a role in the evening ups. Cytomel folks seem to be more up in the pm like the synthroid folks, but perhaps a bit more up during the day. Any armour folks out there for this thread? That does have trace T1 T2 I think....
