Hi Misty,

Nice to meet you. It sounds like you have made major progress with a very complex & difficult situation. I was wondering whether you have read the book From Fatigued to Fantastic by Jacob Teitlebaum, M.D.? He writes about a lot of the things you have suffered from in the past (not the congenital thyroid issues, tho'), and I think the book may have some recommendations for practitioners around the country.

I'm a 52 yo female & live in the Pacific NW. I was dx'd w/hypoT (Hashi's) about a yr. ago, but have had problems for yrs. At the present time I'm on 75 mcg. Synthroid.

What's special about my hypoT is that I have T3 conversion issues in addtion to the above. As soon as I get my adrenal function tests back next week, I will start on a trial of low-dose Cytomel in addition to the T4.

I also have food allergies & environmental sensitivities that have affected my thyroid function. Getting on top of these has been a great help.
