Discussions that mention tylenol

Dental Health board

Hi - it is also my 10th day with a temporary plate waiting 3 months for my two implants to take. I also have panic attacks and my dental surgeon and assistant seemed to act like they didn't know what they were. He is a well known surgeon and I would think he would be more understanding.
I was in constant misery until the second adjustment he made on this top plate. It is much better now but every night my face swells and I have to get up and take Tylenol because if I take a pain pill I will throw up, I can't seem to take coedine too well. .

The other thing is, my mouth has two very sore large spots, where the denture fits at the end of the gum. I am using alcohol swabs which helps for a little bit. I am a #2 Diabetic (not insulin dependent) so that may be why
it isn't healing faster. Do you have any tips for me?

Do you have implants? It is quite expensive but I opted for two because when the dentist places the final ones I will have a denture that will not move and do not need the roof of the mouth thingie - it will be cut down.
I had bridges for twenty years on top and they were great. But time
and Diabetes caused a terrible infection under the bridge although I have always taken extremely good care of my teeth and so, now to the denture.

This bothered me a lot emotionally having had dreams and a fear of being toothless since childhood. The ironic part of it is that my own teeth were practically perfect and very straight, but if the gum goes, so go the teeth!

Sorry to be so lengthy. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Good luck to you,

Neydine

(My dad had beautiful teeth but had to have them removed and he suffered a lot, probably the reason for my childhood trauma)The ironic part of it is that my own teeth were practically perfect and very straight, but if the gum goes, so go the teeth!
