Hi Ladies -

I'm 9 wks. today and I've been having a hard time sleeping through the night. I wake up around 2pm every nght to use the bathroom and then I can't go back to sleep. I know its okay to take Tylenol for headaches and Tylenol w/codeine for pain. Does anyone know if Tylenol PM is okay too?

Lynn
I was told to only take reg tylenol and nothing else what so ever with out consulting my doctor. I would guess no tylenol pm.

I am the queen of taking every pill on the market! I will tell you a couple of things that work great with no side affects or that are ok to take in high doses! Melatonin 1MG or the 3MG is great for helping to get you to sleep. It comes in 60 to 120 tab bottles. It is the natural way to get to sleep. The other is over the counter sleeping pills they have them close to the tylenol pm section. At Rite Aid you can get a bottle of 100 it will last a long time and only cost around 6 bucks. Usually 1 to 2 of these will knock you out for a good 8 hours of sleep. You don't feel like crap the next day either. The reason you want to be cautious of the tylenol is the acetaminophen. It is a pain reliever and you don't need it for sleep. Large quanties of it can eventually shut down your liver! The codeine probably seems like it works well, but it is addictive. Believe me if you think you have problems sleeping now they will be time 10 if you get addicted to the codeine and try to stop. Not fun been there! Hope this helps!
