Cerebral Palsy board

HELLO EVERYONE, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TRYING THIS- GETTING ADVICE ON ONE OF THESE. I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP WITH IDEAS!!!! I HAVE AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH CEREBAL PALSEY THAT JUST HAD HIP SURGERY AND MUSCLES RELEASE ALL DOWN HER LEGS ALL AT ONCE. THE 6 WEEKS IN THE CAST WAS BAD BUT NOT AS BAD AS I THOGUHT IT WAS GOING TO BE, SO I WAS THINKING THIS IS NOT TOO BAD WHY DID I PUT IT OFF FOR SO LONG?? NOW THE CAST HAS BEEN OFF SINCE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AND SHE HAS DONE NOTHING BUT CRY, THIS IS WORSE THAN RIGHT AFTER SURGERY. WE ARE USING TYLENOL WITH CODIENE BUT SHE IS HAVING MAJOR CONSTIPATION PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF IT. SHE SEEMS TO BE HAVING MUSCLE SPASMS AND IS IN TERRIBLE PAIN. DOSE ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS HOW TO HELP EASE THIS, I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER. THANKS CASSANDRA
Tylenol with anything is a torture drug for me and many others! I cannot tolerate Tylenol in any form. It does absolutely nothing for me, and Codine makes me physically sick! There are many other pain relievers out there. Ask your doctor to prescribe something else like forms of Percoset and Loratab. Your daughter will need something strong for a while, to control her pain. Then she can use over-the-counter pain relievers later.

I have been through many surgeries as a child and young adult. I learned to do without drugs for pain... But there are times when pain control is necessary and greatly needed
