Anxiety board

Hello. I am hoping someone here might be able to help with with a problem. I will be going to a memorial service Thursday evening for a good friend of mine, the mother of my son's best friend. She died suddenly at home, at age 45.

Whether it's my MS, my meds, some other medical "stuff," or a combination, my emotions are always right on the surface. I can get sniffly over the slightest thing, even Kodak and Kleenex commercials. I am so afraid that I will lose it at the funeral. I know I have a right to grieve, but I don't have the right to disrupt the service, upset my son and husband, and draw attention to myself. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I might do or take to avoid this?

I have an arsenal of medications I could try. What about Valium? Would that make me more weepy? What I would like is something to just deaden my emotions enough to get through this service with my dignity, and everyone else's, intact. Thank you so much for your time...Carrie
around 10 to 20mg of valium should do the job, dont drink or drive on the day, carry a few more tablets with you and disolve 1 under the tongue if needed
