Discussions that mention valium

I went through a somewhat similar experience to yours. I had a two level ACDF C5-7 with failed fusion and problems with the level above the fusion. I also got several opinions. Although removal of the plate and putting in another was a potential option I was told that this had a greater chance of failure than a posterior approach. I opted for a three level posterior fusion C4-7) using my bone plus BMP. Although the recovery was lengthy I'm as near normal as I've been in years, any aches and pains can be easily dealt with using ibuprofen and an occasional valium at night.

Like others I was reluctant to have more surgery but it's make a real and positive difference to my life. I still have the gamble of other levels going but at least by then the artificial cervical disc will hopefully be approved.

Good luck in your decision,
