Discussions that mention valium

[QUOTE=Ozlady;3172550]Hi Jenni, :wave:
Yep still here, getting a drenching up here which is good. Sorry that you are still battling :( I may be wrong, but it seems that there a few people that have Graves have trouble adjusting to meds after a TT. Maybe it is because the Graves makes them more sensitive.

I don't know of anybody in Aus that is taking the t4/t3 combo, and would be a little apprehensive about taking it if the doc wasn't familiar with it. The T3 component is a lot quicker acting than the T4, I would be careful especially since you are sensitive to the T4 increases.

Are you seeing an Endo or just a GP? I am in the same position as far as getting the Ft3 done, but I really think you need it done to get the full picture. You wouldn't want to be taking any kind of T3 before getting your Ft3 tested to see where it's at. I am going to call the lab and ask how much the test is if I pay for it myself.

Are you taking anything for the anxiety?

Cheers

Pam :)
I am seeing an endo and a GP lol....I take a small dose of valium for the anxiety....could not cope with xanax. I am finding syptoms of hypo worse at 4.4 than say at 17....I am getting that awful brain fog and depression even though I get the anxiety too. Has anyone found antidepressants useful??? The ones I have tried made me feel horrible, much worse.
Just have to keep on keeping on. Have you found that magic dose yet Ozlady? I do hope you are feeling well.
Was glad to read that Vickie is feeling well in another post too.
Take care everyone
Hugs from Jenni

Re the FT3 test I asked my GP to include it on my test and there was no problem; I notice my endo is testing it again next time.
