Cancer: Cervical & Ovarian board

So I thought for posterity sake I would post this. It's been 4 months since I had my cone in June. I was supposed to be on the road to recovery and not go back to my Gyno until December.
In August I had irregular bleeding after sex. I went in to have it checked out and turns out i had granulations inside my cervical canal. Which I think are small bits of scar tissue that have blood capillaries in them, so the sex was agitating them. My doctor removed them with a really uncomfortable small brush swab.
I didn't have any further problems until early this month when i experienced more irregular bleeding. Fabulous. So I went back into see my Gyno to learn that my cervix had grown shut! The irregular bleeding was a result of not all my period passing thru, so it extended into the next week. My doc said I would just have to come back and he would do a procedure to open up my canal. Small cut no big deal type thing. Man was he wrong.
So I went back this past Monday with a friend. My doc had given me a prescription for vicodin and valium, which I took before going in. The procedure took 50 min total and he gave me a local shot of pain killer which included epinephrine (which made my heart race and legs shake) made the cut, did something in my uterus, which was thoroughly uncomfortable despite the meds, took an ECC and inserted a Laminaria to keep my canal open along with some sponges to make the Laminaria swell. He told me to come back in an hour and half to remove the sponges and laminaria. By the time I came back I was in a lot of pain, getting cold sweats along with nausea. My doc took out the sponges and Laminaria it was really painful. By the time I was ready to go home I couldn't stand up. They called in a nurse to give me a shot of pain killer. Needless to say, my friend wheeled me home and I spent the next day in bed.
Looking back on this post it seems kind of like a bad dream. I truly wasn't expecting it to be that hard. I guess I should have asked more questions, but I didn't. I'm posting because I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and also for general information regarding the healing process after a cone.
