Hi all. I'm at day 11 or so of the tonsillectomy recovery, and feeling fine. It wasn't as bad as I expected, just the first few days were a pain to swallow but other than that it wasn't so bad. I took two vicodin every three hours around the clock for 5 straight days, so that made things bearable (not to mention a serious buzz). Already went to post op appointment, everything is healing fine. I still have some scabs but should go away in a few days more.
So, has this helped the BB? Well, I really can't tell yet. I do know that I don't have the awful taste in my mouth that I had before. My tonsils were very cryptic and had a bunch of crap in them (and the doc even told me that when he removed them it was like squeezing a tube of toothpaste with white stuff coming out of them). My coating on my tongue seems to be clearing up some. But I'm not really sure this was the whole cause of my bb, but I'm sure it contributed to it. As soon as I'm all healed I'll let you all know the results, but I'm still kinda worried that this didn't completely cure my case.
Godisgood, thanks for the kind words of hope. Keep us posted of when you do the lemon flush again, I am seriously considering it sometime this year. As far as removing your tonsils, I don't think it could hurt (and may even help a great deal). Have you seen an ENT yet? I know my regular doc didn't think anything was wrong with mine, but when I saw the ENT he showed my all the caves in my tonsils and even the hard tonsil stones that were forming. So in my case I'm sure it helped.
Thejesus, I saw your post about the breath clinic visit. I'd like to hear more. What do you think about the whole thing, it seems they told you nothing is wrong?
Also hello to Louise, I wish you well and hope all is going good for you.
I think I'll try some of these new suggestions from mar0975 also as soon as I'm healed. I just saw that toothpaste in my supermarket recently. I did use the netipot for a month or two, I didn't notice a difference but I think I'll try that again as soon as I'm ready.
