Discussions that mention vicodin

Back Problems board

Hi Wbaker.

Sorry you are hurting so much. Have you discussed another epidural w/ your doctor? It would seem they could work one in before the implant if they try. There are many 3rd epi's scheduled (at least where I am) that don't pan out as the others either didn't work (so, surgery or other proc) or they did, so they're cancelled.

I hope things work out for you with the leg pain. Best case, the stim will help so much with your back pain that the leg pain will ease up with your better outlook from pain-relief. (?) Did that make any sense at all!? Hope angels and good wishes help a little!

Take good care! You are so very helpful... I know I appreciate reading your posts - always informative and caring.

Hi Baxter. Keep your faith, dear. You're very strong and you WILL end up on top. Don't lose your dream about opening your own biz (even if you change what it is). Put dreams on hold... don't lose them!

As for the Bankruptcy. My sister used CCouns (her credit was AAA) bcuz she thought that was better than Bankruptcy. NOT...!!! It is actually worse. (at least the one she used - Christian one) They paid bills late... she was still called. It was a nightmare.

You say you have been in the biz. Do you have a copy of Fair Debt Collecting Act? If not, get your hands on one and read what your rights are. If the main thing you are concerned about is all the calls, this may help you. I KNOW once you tell them not to, they can't call you at work. Perhaps there's something there regarding being ILL and them not calling. It's called HARRASSMENT.

You say the bills are current right now. Theywill not be 'considered late' for 30 days on most credit accounts. That's 30 days from due date. It will not even be reported on your Credit Report. If you do decide to file Ch7, once you do and the letters go to your creditors, they have to stop IMMEDIATELY contacting you.

My whole point is, you have some time. You seem so close to something resolving (money-wise, maybe not back wise ) your credit is SO good. Sometimes doing something quickly is not the answer.
OK..... I figured you have enough on your plate. Here is the link for the LAW I mentioned:

Hope this helps a little! :)

Baxter... I completely understand you wanting to get it over with and not have the calls. My husband had to file Ch7 a few years back and we were living together @ the time - it was a nightmare. He went thru nasty divorce (nasty, cheatin ex) that was based in CA. His ex left him for her boyfriend, was living w/ the guy... but, my hubby took all marital debt on as he thought it would help their daughter more if her mother didn't have the 'stress' of all that money. Well, sometims nice guys finish last. The judge in CA (a woman) believed his EX (she said boyfr wasn't living there) and told Dale (my hubby) that he WOULD pay the astronomical spousal support and child support and it was HIS problem about the debt. File Bankruptcy.

Nice for our courts to do that,eh? The ex lies thru teeth, has bf that makes over $60,000/yr.. Dale retired AF (when he left CA, he didn't make squat, got really good job out here, Ohio, and had to pay her... are you sitting down? $1747 a month. $664 was child support, the rest was spousal.)

So, our lives were a very tight mess w/ the CH7, money going out, me out of work then, couldn't get married until divorce final, no insurance (thank God my back didn't go until 2000!)... blah blah blah.
And as far as debt? We moved into our current home 9/01.. before the support ended. This house is 3x the size of old one... I was due w/ 2nd baby and Abbie turned 1 as we moved in..Our debt increased sooo much and not more$ coming in. We needed a bunch of things,too... we have about $800/mo in credit going out now. I understand completely.
I do believe that Everything happens for a reason. We KNOW that we can get through ANYTHING and come out STRONGER.
Baxter - so will you.
