Neuropathy board

I am new to this board, but after being put through so much agony these past several months...I could use all the help and advice anyone can give me here. HELP! I have been diagnosed by my Neurologist as having neuropathy. My symptoms are numerous, but the most dibilitating is the pain on the tops of my feet and up the shins. She did an EMG test and an MRI...don't ask me what kind of N, she never said. All I know is, every kind of medication she has given me for this has cause the symptoms of NP to get much worse! I never used to have the burning, itching, numbness, etc...but with these meds, I have. I have tried: Lamictal, Topamax,Zonegran, Neurontin..this later being the worse. Can anyone help here? I have been to so many Drs in the past 5 years..no one seems to be able to pin point what is wrong with me. The only med that seems to give me relief is Vicodin, but I dont want to get addicted. The Neuro. Dr just keeps shaking her head in disbelief...I know..time to try another Doc, huh? She is the 2nd Neurologist I've seen. The SSD drs thought I had symptoms of MS, but the MRI's sho no lesions & my spinal tap came back negative too. Sound like I'm rattled? I am! LOL
