Discussions that mention vicodin

Back Problems board

Of course, see a doctor--and if she gets the brush-off answer of "take these naproxin, flexiril and a vicodin to sleep if you need it", don't be discouraged. It works for a lot of people.

Keep a "pain journal". I know, it seems a bit odd. When I went to see my neural surgeon, I had a graph which showed my pain levels on a scale of 1--10, almost every day, for 9 months, with possible casual activities identified. He liked it enough that he kept it in my file. My point is that doctors function on data, and the more accurate data you can give them, the better.
