I totally believe you just have anxiety. What other test would you want to take? Perhaps - since it's just creeping back in you could try a milder drug like buspar (which had no side effects for me and no withrdrawal) or xanax as needed. You should see the psychiatrist and suggest these. For me having xanax around is my security blanket. I've not taken one in almost 2 years - but they are my dear friend and I know they are there if I need them. Maybe this would work for you too. Certainly worth a try before becoming dependent upon another strong medication that's hell getting off of...

if the lexapro stopped them then its fair to assume they were panic attacks ask the GP to prescribe more lexapro and get back on it and learn CBT skilkls for coping with the panic attacks also new ways of relaxation and stress managment
lots of self help books for panic disorder, all featuring CBT, also much info on the net
xanax as needed, also helps if you can get any

I am making a doctor's appt for tomorrow to prescribe me a quick relief such as Xanax. I don't want to go back on medications such as Lexapro because I gained weight, had really bad w/drawl symptoms..etc. Thank you for your advice.
