Discussions that mention xenical

Weight Loss board

Xenical is still in the US. I'm sure you can get it from a mail order pharmacy here. It's all over the net.

I can't find anything on that. In fact, only last week a newspaper in Scotland ran the following:
They include Xenical, which blocks the body's absorption of fat, and Reductil, which works by making dieters feel fuller quicker. Both are available on the NHS in Scotland and cost around £40 to £50 a month.

Are you SURE it's going to be banned?
Hi, I live in the South Tyneside area and was prescribed Xenical about 2-3 weeks ago being nearly 24 stone, to be honest i wasnt sure it was going to help but i bought some scales last week and much to my surprise have lost 7.25 pounds in the last week, im sure if i were to do more exercise it would be more but i had a lumbar puncture that went horribly wrong a couple of years ago which has me in total agony, but 2 days ago i was given Buprenorphine Transdermal patches by the doctor for my back pain and they have had a side effect of making me lose my appetite almost completely which is a blessing and a curse all at once i guess, i hope that your local NHS changes their stance on the drug as it is a most useful tool.

I work in goverment social policy and your PCT could end up in a lot of trouble over refusal to give Xenical!

The Department of Health have issued an order about how obesity must be treated by GPs. Xenical and Meridia are included in that order, they're the only weight loss drugs that are.

The documents are all on-line, here's the link if you get very bored http://www.dh.gov.uk/PublicationsAndStatistics/Publications/PublicationsPolicyAndGuidance/PublicationsPolicyAndGuidanceArticle/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=4134408&chk=Sq/wNd

Anyway... if someone were to challenge the PCT in court about not prescribing Xenical the PCT would lose. I'm not suggesting in a million years that you so this, the time and money it needs would be pheonomenal, but for reference your PCT are in the wrong.

I buy my Xenical online for about £65 a month, it's not cheap but it is the cheapest I've found.
