I developed bacterial bronchitis post op...it was horrible and caused even MORE pain because of the constant coughing...I truly feel for you. I went through 10 days of antibiotics with no relief...then they put me on the "turbo" pills...hehehe the Zithromax...took a couple of days but it finally killed the "bad bugs" ;)
I hope you get to feeling better soon sweetie :)
Hi Baxter!

So sorry to hear you are sick. :( At least you know the cough tip now (hehe). Think of all that junk coming up when you cough...prep yourself and give it a good 'hack' (best in a fetal-like position) when you feel one coming on. Get some papertowels and clean out those lungs! hehe :D I agree with 'itsgettingold' Zithromax is the BOMB...didn't you say you got some of that? Or was that someone else? Anywho, best wishes for speedy recover and drink your orange juice. :) Let some sunshine in (even if raining or snowing where you are). The natural sunlight will help bring your mood up so that your body can fight off this germ-virus-etc. Let the sunshine in... face it with a grin....... frowners always lose..... and smilers always win..... So let the sun shine in! hehe hahahhaha. Take care love.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for the messages, it really makes me feel better. :bouncing:

Yes, I have the Z-Pak (Zithromax), the doc even gave me two refills, which surprised me and made me happy, I will now have it on hand for the next bout. :D

I have been so very tired and sort of just dragging today.

I'm counting on feeling better tomorrow, I started the antibiotics on 1/1/03, so I just have to be patient.

I notice that after I wake up, the coughing is pretty loose and coming up, so that is a good thing.
I am worse in the A.M. & P.M.
It must have something to do with the lying down.

Anyway, I want to thank you all once again, you are so very kind and very supportive [img]http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/heart.gif[/img]

Have a super evening,

Two level laminectomy fusion L5-S1 & L2-3 done on 12/6/02.
Fifteen inch scar from the very top of butt crack (sorry), to the bra line.
BAK cages, rods & screws.(Titanium)
My pelvic bone was used for grafting.
Praying that the other two discs in between, won't have to be fused later, as I was told it was a possibility, due to the other two discs in between, not being in that great of shape.
Doc didn't want to fuse four levels, unless it is really necessary.
I would hate to repeat the surgery, as the recovery period, is so very painful.
